An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent defective contact of metal electrodes by increasing transmittance of ultraviolet light and completely hardening a seal line. A lower substrate includes a thin film transistor in a display area. A seal line is formed along an outer edge of the display area in a non-display area. A gate driving circuit overlaps the seal line to drive the thin film transistor, and includes openings(60,70) transmitting ultraviolet light hardening the seal line. The gate driving circuit includes a plurality of transistors(55) integrated on the lower substrate, a signal line supplying a signal to the thin film transistor, and a contact portion. The contact portion connects the thin film transistors and also connects the signal line together with the transistor. |
