A PMP(Portable Multimedia Player) having a removable module and a use method therefor are provided to satisfy the convenience of a user of the PMP by performing various wireless communication by using a wireless communication module and transmitting and receiving multimedia information like characters or 3D game information through the wireless communication module. A PMP has a removable module(170) capable of being mounted and demounted in one of a plurality of interfaces. A plurality of the interfaces supports IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 1394 standard, USB(Universal Serial Bus) port standard, and SD(Secure Digital) slot standard. The interfaces include 8 UART(Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) lines. The removable module(170) is at least one of a Bluetooth wireless communication module, a zigbee wireless communication module, a game pack module, and a data storing memory.
