A plasma display panel and a manufacturing method of the same are provided to reduce a discharge margin difference between discharge cells and to discharge residual impurity gases within the discharge cells. A front substrate(111) and a rear substrate(121) are disposed opposite to each other in order to define red, green, and blue discharge cells which are arranged in row and column directions. A plurality of barrier ribs(130) include a plurality of first barrier ribs(131) formed between the discharge cells arranged in the row direction; a plurality of second barrier ribs(132) for connecting the first barrier ribs to each other; and a plurality of third barrier ribs(133) arranged between the columns of the discharge cells. Red, green, and blue phosphor layers(126R,126G,126B) are arranged at the red, green, and blue discharge cells. The red, green, and blue phosphor layers have predetermined thickness in order to equalize discharge margins of the red, green, and blue discharge cells.
