An M-NMS(Mobile Network Management System) for managing DCMs(Data Communication Modules) in a mobile communication network, a method for controlling the DCMs therein, and a method for managing an abnormal state of a wireless network by using the same are provided to reduce maintenance expenses through real-time fault management for DCMs and real-time monitoring for wireless environments and effectively use DCMs by adding a function for detecting module state and error information, a wireless state, and wrong wireless parameters to each DCMs. An M-NMS initiates management procedures by sending an SMS message to a DCM. Receiving the management initiation SMS message, the DCM makes a wireless data access request to continuously transmit and receive messages to and from the M-NMS. The M-NMS, based on the wireless data access request, executes authentication procedures for the DCM. The M-NMS executes management for the DCM by issuing a command for obtaining necessary information from the DCM or controlling the DCM and receiving a response from the DCM.
