The invention relates to a damping pad intended for cutting tools, such as pruning shears, having two arms (5) which are manually actuated in order to open and close the cutting blades provided at one of the ends of the arms (5). In order to prevent fingers from being crushed when the arms are being closed during the handling of the shears, opposing pads are provided on the arms, each of said pads comprising a housing (1) having an elastic or rubber pad (2) coupled therein. The invention is characterised in that one or more grooves (7) are provided on the side of each housing close to the tip thereof and respective ribs (9) belonging to the respective pad (2) are inserted therein, thereby forming an effective means for retaining the pad (2) inside the housing (1). |
