The apparatus is in the form of a cabinet (12) of drawers (14). The drawers contain compartments (16,18) in the drawer opening direction. A controller is provided to drive the drawers. Each drawer has a spindle or toothed rod drive via which the drawers are opened to reveal one or more compartments as determined by the controller. The drive of the rod or the rise of the spindle is self limiting. |
