A driver information system control panel apparatus for a vehicle is provided to achieve improved spatial efficiency of the vehicle by permitting a driver information system control panel to be accommodated into/extracted from a console. A console(10) interposed between a driver seat and a front passenger seat has a top with a slit(11), and a control panel(20) is arranged in the console in such a manner that the control panel is accommodated into/extracted from the console through the slit. A sliding unit is connected to the control panel so as to permit the control panel to slide to the inside/outside of the console. The sliding unit includes at least one stepping motor. A screw coupled to a driving shaft of the stepping motor is connected to a screw hole of a connection block arranged in rear of a lower end of the control panel.
