<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly fold a curtain air bag for covering a window part of an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: This air bag is spread on a mounting surface 110 of a folding device 101 and a mounting piece is hooked on a rocket pin 131. A first regulating plate 142 is advanced to a front side. After raising a second regulating plate 152, the regulating plate 152 is advanced to a depth side to cover the first regulating plate 142 to form a first folded part and a second folded part. The first folded part and the second folded part are pressed by a pressing body 147, the first regulating plate 142 is retreated to the depth side, and the second regulating plate 152 is retreated to the front side. The air bag is rounded in a rolled shape from the front side to form an aggregate part. The first folded part and the aggregate part are dropped into a storing part 121.
