The present invention provides a low-calory sweetener having a high stability, an excellent safety and an excellent sweetness. The object of the present invention is accomplished by the preparation of novel aspartyldipeptidoamide derivatives such as alpha -L-aspartyl-D-isoleucine (R)- alpha -methylthiomethylbenzylamide and the like or salts thereof, as well as a sweetener containing the same as an active ingredient. |
