<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel controller for a vehicle capable of such four wheel driving as one of front and rear wheels is driven through an engine and the other is driven through a motor/generator in which the four wheel drive function can be exhibited surely under a situation requiring effective utilization thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The travel controller for a vehicle capable of such four wheel driving as the rear wheel 1 (front wheel) is driven through an engine 2 and the front wheel 3 (rear wheel) is driven through a motor/generator 4 comprises means 13-15 for predicting necessity of four wheel drive, and means 14, 4 (14, 2, 8) for accelerating the charging operation of a battery 5 becoming the power supply of the motor/generator 4 when the necessity of four wheel drive is predicted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
