<p>The present invention relates to a helmet restraint system (2) for restraining the forward and downward movement of a heavy pilot helmet (4) having an unfavorable centre of gravity. A buckle strap (6) having a first end (18) and a second end (22) is configured to be movably disposed in a pilot's garment (10). The buckle strap (6) is preloaded between its first end (18), which is attached to said adjustment mechanism (20), and its second end (22), which is attached to an emergency release (23), and is extended in a loop (24) coming out from first (26) (left) and second (28) (right) openings resp. in the collar of said garment (10) for connection with a snap hook (8) on said helmet (4).</p> |
