A wastewater treatment apparatus and a wastewater treatment method for treating high concentration wastewater and low concentration wastewater at the same time are provided to efficiently treat the high concentration wastewater when high concentration wastewater is suddenly flown in the catchment tank by utilizing a first raw water treating tank as a microbial treating tank when a pollution level of wastewater supplied into a catchment tank is not less than a reference value. A wastewater treatment apparatus for treating high concentration wastewater and low concentration wastewater at the same time comprises a first opening-and-closing valve mounted on a supply water line, a seeding line connected between a microbial treating tank(18) and a first raw water treating tank(12), a second opening-and-closing valve mounted on the seeding line, a sensor part installed on a catchment tank to measure the contamination concentration of influent, and a control part for controlling opening and closing the first and second opening-and-closing valves. The wastewater treatment apparatus further comprises an air diffusion unit(28) installed on the bottom of the first raw water treating tank as well as the bottom of the microbial treating tank. The air diffusion unit includes a pipe(30) extending from an air supplying means, and trumpet-shaped air diffusers(32) rotatably mounted on the pipe by means of hinges with being spaced from one another in an equal distance. The air diffusers have a plurality of air ejection holes(34) formed on an upper surface thereof, and an air ejection nozzle(36) adhered to a side face thereof. |
