<p>The method involves entering an address identifier e.g. street name, of a point of interest (POI) and an address identifier e.g. place name, of a superior administrative unit. An entry is searched in a data base according to the entered identifiers. The entry is searched in administrative units according to one of the identifiers during non-finding of the entry of the identifiers in the data base, where the administrative units are adjacent to the administrative unit identified by the place name. The entry found in the search is selected, where the entry is satisfied only for the street name. An independent claim is also included for an information system e.g. navigation system, for entering address into the system.</p> |
