[Also in Divisions C4 and G2] The compound of the Formula I and the corresponding compounds wherein the morpholino group is replaced by piperidino or ethylamino are made by heating with zinc dust acetic acid and acetic anhydride, N-ethyl- 5 - chloro - 4 - morpholinosulphonyl - 2 - nitro - anidine of the corresponding piperidino or ethylamino compounds prepared by reacting ethylamine with 1 : 5-dichloro-4-morpholinosulphonyl-2-nitrobenzene of the appropriate piperidino or ethylamino compound. The latter are made by reacting morpholine, piperidine or ethylamine with 2:4-dichloro-5-nitrobenzene sulphonyl chloride. The N-ethyl-benzimidazolium p-toluene sulphonate corresponding to the compound of Formula I above is made by reacting the compound of Formula I with ethyl p-toluene sulphonate. The compound of the formula and the corresponding compounds where the morpholino group is replaced by piperidino or ethylamino are made by reacting the compound of Formula I above or the appropriate piperidino or ethylamino compound with sodium iodopropane sulphonate. |
