Piezoelectric actuator and method for producing the same

A piezoelectric actuator has a set of piezo active layers (2) between which a metallic inner electrode (5) is arranged. The electrode extends to a surface of the actuator, and an outer electrode (10) coated with a conductive polymer is attached on the surface. The outer electrode has metal foam that stays in direct electrical contact with a part of the inner electrode. The outer electrode contacts the electrode part to produce electrical voltage. An independent claim is also included for the production of a piezoelectric actuator.
