DPF WITH IMPROVING HEAT DURABILITY

A catalyst type DPF with improved heat durability is provided to prevent abrupt increase in the temperature of a rear part thereof and generation of cracks due to thermal stress. A catalyst type DPF with improved heat durability includes a plurality of through-cells(12',12"), an inlet port, and an outlet port(9b). The through-cells are made with porous cell walls. Both ends of the inlet port and the outlet port are plugged in a zigzag manner. An oxidation catalyst coating layer(30) is formed on a rear surface of the cell wall. Flow of the exhaust gas is varied to allow smooth gas flow through the cell wall. A large amount of particulate materials included in the gas is accumulated in the rear part of the cell wall to increase an accumulated PM amount.
