<p>Arrangement is suitable for storage depots for combustible liquid and/or gaseous materials. Safety stop valves are incorporated in the lines leading to each tank, these valves being pre-tensioned in the closure direction, and held in the open position by a medium under pressure. The system operates automatically to cut off the supply of fuel from a tank in case of fire or explosion in the vicinity of the tank. The apparatus is especially suitable for use on airfields, where high fuel discharge rates are used.</p> |
