In a cot side or frame for a bed of kind comprising an upper frame member 20, a lower frame member 21 having clamping members 30, 31 for releasably attaching it to the side rail 11 of a bed, parallel links 22, 23 pivotally attached to and connecting the upper and lower frame members 20, 21 and securing means for attaching the upper frame members to the head of a bed in operative position, the links 22 are situated in the plane of the upper and lower members 20, 21, the links 23 being off-set to one side of this plane and either the links 23 or the links 22 are telescopic. As shown in Fig. 1 the securing means comprises a U-piece 26 adapted to embrace and be secured to the side part 13a of the bed head by means of a locking pin 27. The U-piece may be pivoted to the member 20. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. 4, the upper frame member 20 is fitted with a clamping member 32, 33. |
