Provided are a phthalocyanine with a new stable crystal form, and an electrophotographic photoreceptor having the improved electric characteristic using the phthalocyanine as a charge generating material. The phthalocyanine with a new crystal form is represented by the formula(1)(wherein each R1 to R16 is independently H, halogen, nitro, alkyl or alkoxy, and M is TiO2) and is characterized in that it has a peak value with a Bragg angle at an X-ray diffraction method of 2theta(±0.2°) being 9.5°, 10.7°, 12.5°, 13.3°, 15.2°, 15.8°, 16.2°, 20.9°, 23.5°, 26.5°, 26.8°, 27.3°, and 28.5°. The electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer which is formed on the conductive substrate and includes a charge generating material and a charge transfer material, wherein the charge generating material is the phthalocyanine.
