A spring water barrel having a detachable handle and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to keep the maximum capacity by recessing only a handle mounting groove toward the inside of the outer center perpendicular to a parting portion. The spring water barrel having an inlet port combined to a spring water barrel joining part of a hot/cold water dispenser to supply water and separated from the joining part if the water is used up is composed of a body(10) having a handle mounting groove(12) formed in the center of the outer peripheral surface perpendicular to a parting portion of the spring water barrel; a hinge joining unit(20) having an insertion hole(21) formed on one surface, dug in a T-form, and fitted and fixed with a protruded part(31) of a handle(30), and a combining projection(22) formed on the opposite surface and fixed to a predetermined portion of the handle mounting groove of the body; and the handle of the predetermined size having the plate-shaped protruded parts formed at the upper and lower ends, joined to the insertion hole formed on one surface of the hinge joining unit, and composed of a major axis and a minor axis crossing the major axis.
