A folder type cutter having an abrasive device is provided to semi-automatically and easily sharpen the cutting edge of a blade by making the cutting edge be slid along a grindstone as coming in contact with the grindstone in receiving the cutting edge into an accommodation handle. A folder type cutter has a blade(1) which includes a cutting edge(1a). The blade is received into an accommodation handle(3) as being inverted by a shaft(2) which is rotatably fixed. A grindstone(4) is mounted at the position where the cutting edge of the blade passes when the blade is accommodated into the accommodation handle. The grindstone is tilted at a desired angle with an elastic member interposed between the grindstone and the cutting edge. The cutting edge comes in contact with the grindstone and slides along the grindstone when the blade is received into the accommodation handle, such that the cutting edge is semi-automatically and easily sharpened by the grindstone.
