An apparatus and a method for displaying an ultrasound image are provided to form three-dimensional ultrasound images without using an expensive three-dimensional probe and to reduce a time for forming the image by rendering two-dimensional ultrasound images respectively. A probe is fixed to a predetermined position of a target including a moving object(S310). A plurality of two-dimensional ultrasound images are formed by using ultrasound echo signals(S320). The continuous two-dimensional ultrasound images are selected from the two-dimensional ultrasound images(S330). The selected two-dimensional ultrasound images are stored(S340). Three-dimensional ultrasound images are formed by overlapping the two-dimensional ultrasound images(S350). A marker is set in the three-dimensional ultrasound image in order to indicate a motion period(S360). The three-dimensional ultrasound images are displayed(S370). The two-dimensional ultrasound images having a rapid forming period are removed(S380). The two-dimensional ultrasound image posterior to the two-dimensional ultrasound image having the slowest forming period is selected(S390).
