A display device and its manufacturing method are provided to enhance remarkably characteristics of a TFT. A display device includes an insulating substrate, a data line, a TFT, and a pixel electrode. The data line(121) includes a conductive layer(123). The data line is formed on the insulating substrate. The TFT includes at least one source electrode(143) electrically connected with the conductive layer of the data line and a drain electrode(141) spaced apart from the source electrode. The drain electrode is formed along a peripheral portion of the source electrode. The pixel electrode(145) is electrically connected with the conductive layer.
