A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) display panel and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) are provided to remove the parasite capacitance generated between a data line and a pixel electrode, thereby enhancing the image quality. A gate line is formed on a substrate. A gate insulating layer is formed on the gate line. A semiconductor layer is formed on the gate insulating layer. A data line and a drain electrode(175) are formed on the semiconductor layer. A passivation layer is formed on the data line and the drain electrode and has a contact hole(181). A pixel electrode(191) is formed on the passivation layer and connected with the drain electrode through the contact hole. The data lines intersect the pixel electrode. The pixel electrode has an opening(186) overlapped with the data line. The horizontal width of the opening is wider than that of the data line.
