An automatic open-close apparatus for a vehicle roof is provided to allow a driver to stably drive a vehicle without being interrupted by the vehicle roof by selectively opening-closing the vehicle roof according to the opening-closing of a door. An automatic open-close apparatus for a vehicle roof comprises an open-close switch, which is installed at a front end of a door(2) of a vehicle body(1) and is switched corresponding to open-close operations of the door. A control circuit detects a switching signal from the open-close switch so as to generate a roof open-close signal. A roof frame(130) is partially open to the door. An actuating roof(140) is rotatably installed at the roof frame and has a driven gear at one side of a rotation axis thereof. A driving motor is installed at one side of the roof frame and has a driving gear, which is engaged with the driven gear at the rotation axis. When the roof open-close signal is generated, the driving motor performs reversible rotation so as to rotate the actuating roof, thereby opening or closing the roof.
