A missing article finding device and a finding method thereof are provided to prevent malfunction caused due to peripheral noise by differentiating a standardized signal from the peripheral noise or contact noise. A missing article finding device is composed of a signal sensing unit(160) for detecting a standardized signal generated by a user; a signal processing unit(170) for cutting off the input of the signal if the signal detected by the signal sensing unit is kept shorter than the set time, and forcibly cutting off the output of the signal if the signal is kept over the set time; and a main control unit(140) outputting a control signal for displaying a position checking signal and generating the sound, if the standardized signal output from the signal processing unit corresponds with a password stored in a memory.
