摘要 #CMT# #/CMT# A furnace comprises a heating unit controlled with a control unit and optionally a cooling unit. Slumping ring(s) is/are arranged in the furnace and the plane glass, which reaches the outer perimeter of the slumping ring, is placed on the slumping ring and it is clamped to the surface of the slumping ring along its perimeter by a clamping unit, optionally by lid. The furnace is heated by a heating unit controlled by a control unit. The control unit is connected to sensors detecting the slumping dimension of the plane glass. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for the production of curved glass from plane glass, comprising: (A) heating the furnace by a first heating rate to 600[deg]C, while controlled by the control unit; (B) reducing the heating rate until the temperature is set to a constant 700[deg]C; and (C) detecting the slumping speed and extent of the glass by the sensor(s). #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for the production of curved glass from plane glass. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The furnace can produce optically precise curved glass from plane glass.
