Provided are a rubber composition for a tire which is high in strength and is low in heat build-up, and a tire comprising the rubber of the composition. A rubber composition comprises 100 phr of a rubber material; 50-90 phr of carbon black; 1-3 phr of at least of a reversion stabilizer selected from 1,3-bis(citracoimidomethyl)benzene (pertalink-900), Tert-butyl benzothiazole sulfenamide and Tert-butyl pyridien sulfenamide; and 0.5-4 phr of at least one heat stabilizer selected from dibutyl tin maleic anhydride and triphenyl phosphate. Preferably the carbon black comprises the carbon black N550 having an iodine adsorption number of 40-50 mg/g and a DBP absorption of 120-130 mg/100 g, and the carbon black N660 having an iodine adsorption number of 30-40 mg/g and a DBP absorption of 90-100 mg/100 g, in a ratio of 1:9 to 9:1 by weight. |
