A document scan system, a system and a method for transferring a document, and a computer-readable recording medium are provided to enable a user to scan the document and transfer an electronic document stored in a scanner in an environment installing a plurality of scanners to each place after receiving a user ID. Each scanner(10X,10Y) generates and stores the electronic document in each place by scanning the document. Each information terminal(40X,40Y) receives user ID in each place. A document obtainer obtains the electronic document from the scanner connected to the information terminal receiving the user ID. A document register registers the obtained electronic document to a user storage device discriminated by the received user ID. The document obtainer monitors the scanner after receiving the user ID, and obtains the electronic document if the electronic document is stored to the scanner. |
