Iodine and selenium deficiency prevention and treatment

Disclosed herein is a medicament formulated for parenteral administration, wherein the medicament includes: (a) iodised unsaturated vegetable oil; (b) micronised barium selenate; (c) at least one solvent; (d) at least one preservative; and, (e) at least one wetting agent. This medicament is suitable for the prevention or treatment of a disease in a non-human animal associated with a deficiency in elements selected from iodine and selenium or both.
