The seat has a rigid base frame that is formed of left rigid metallic and right rigid metallic flanges (10, 20) which are spaced from each other in a transversal direction. The flanges are parallel and extend from rear ends (10a, 20a) to front ends (10b, 20b). The rear and front ends of the flanges are connected with each other by rear crosspieces (11, 21). The crosspieces extend parallel to each other along a transversal axis. The cross pieces have left ends (11a, 21a) and right ends (11b, 21b) that are directly fixed to the metallic flanges (10, 20), respectively.
