The method involves searching a matching between object`s points of interest and image`s points of interest. A weight percentage of the matched points of interest of the object is calculated and compared with a threshold value. The object is identified when the percentage is greater than the threshold. A geometric transformation subjected by the matched points of interest of the image is calculated and applied to a contour in an object`s data structure. The contour of the object is determined from the transformed contour, and the contour of the structure is converged to the object`s contour. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for identifying and tracking an object in a film (2) a computer program product comprising program code instructions for implementing an object identifying and tracking method.
