A method for preparation of sintered ceramic material for constructional finishing materials is provided to produce the sintered material to remove various harmful materials or bad odor and to inhibit bacterial inhabitation, which is useful for finishing interior wall side or ceiling of a building, by applying a glaze slip to the surface of a ceramic body then firing the glazed ceramic body. The method includes the steps of: forming and drying a ceramic body; applying glaze-slip to the surface of the ceramic body to produce a glazed ceramic body precursor; and firing the precursor at 600-950deg.C for 30-60 minutes. The ceramic body comprises: 10-40wt.% of loess, 20-60wt.% of kaolin, 10-40wt.% of diatomite, 5-15wt.% of milled glass, 1-10wt.% of aluminum hydroxide, 1-5wt.% of water glass, 1-5wt.% of tannic acid lignin and the balance of sodium carbonate. The glaze-slip comprises 50-90wt.% of frit, 5-30wt.% of clay, 2.5-10wt.% of anion powder and 2.5-10wt.% of inorganic anti-microbial.
