DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS METHOD FOR DISTINGUISHING AMONG GLAUCOMA AND OPHTHALMIC HYPERTENSION

FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves determining initial threshold to blinking object before loading. Loading is carried out by means of vacuum spectacles-type oculocompression usable for detecting scotomas in central vision field points. Scotoma availability is detected in time interval. All arisen scotomas are found during loading test. Time of the first arisen scotomas recorded after the loading is taken for zero and scotoma availability is determined in their rising points every minute to their disappearance. Total liminous retina sensitivity defect and time the scotomas disappear are determined from detected scotoma data. Optic nerve sensitivity index is calculated from product of received values. The value being greater than 12, glaucoma diagnosis is to be set. The value being less than 12, ophthalmic hypertension is considered to be the case. ^ EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis.
