The system has a server (3) provided with a database (6) adapted to store specific parameters at each on-board installation associated to each vehicle, and general parameters. A remote communication unit is adapted to ensure the communication of the server with the on-board installation and a communication station (2), where the communication of the server with the on-board installation ensures transfer of certain parameters recorded in the server. The on-board installation has a user interface (14) with control knobs (16a-16c) that are adapted to send information to the server. An independent claim is also included for a computer-aided driving method for a vehicle.
