APPARATUS FOR ROLLING AROUND HELICAL SURFACE OF ROUND SHAPE

FIELD: mechanical working of metals, namely apparatuses for rolling around round shapes such as helical grooves of shells of rope drums of cargo hoisting machines. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes supporting member in the form of disc and indenters arranged along its circle and provided with device for mounting them. Indenters are in the form of balls whose radiuses are equal to radiuses of rolled around profile of helical surface and they are arranged in semi-spherical jackets radially placed on disc. Centers of said indenters in the form of balls are spaced from vertical rotation axis of disc by distance equal to radius of pitch circle of disc and with pitch equal to that of helical line of rolled around helical surface. Radius of pitch circle of disc is determined according to given formula. It is possible to roll around helical surfaces with radius of round shape less than 35 mm. ^ EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of apparatus, lowered roughness of surface. ^ 2 dwg
