An actuating device for a fire extinguisher is provided to have a very simple structure in the state of maintaining accumulated sealing in the fire extinguisher, and to improve operation reliability by spraying a fire extinguishing liquid precisely and rapidly. An actuating device includes a housing(15) having a path(16), and an opening and closing unit for opening and closing the path by a lever(25). The lever comprises a fixing lever(26) fixed to an upper part of the housing, and a pivot lever(27) pivoting by being connected to the fixing lever. The opening and closing unit comprises an opening and closing ball(30) having a perforated center part and opening and closing the path, a ball adjusting shaft(32) protruded from the housing by being connected to the periphery of the ball, a rotary pole(34) connected to the ball adjusting shaft and having a slide groove, a fixing piece(36) connected to the pivot lever so as to rotate the rotary pole while vertically lifting, and a spring(38) installed outside the rotary pole.
