A display device and a driving method thereof are provided to improve color representation performance of the display device by stabilizing outputs from a D/A converter sufficiently within a desired time. A display device includes a gamma compensator, a D/A converter(300), and a source driver. The gamma compensator performs gamma compensation using an LUT(Look-Up Table). The gamma compensator converts an analog signal to a digital image signal. The bit number of the digital image signal is greater than that of the analog signal. The D/A converter converts the digital image signal to an analog image signal. The source driver supplies the analog signal from the D/A converter to the display device.
