DRIVING APPARATUS AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY COMPRISING THE SAME

A liquid crystal display device and an apparatus for driving the same are provided to reduce manufacturing cost of the LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device by removing a shielding component between a signal controller and a memory. A data processor(610) includes a memory(612), a data counter(614), a data comparator(616), a data converter(618), and a data delay unit(620). The memory stores RGB data and a reference bit number, which is used in the data comparator. The data counter calculates the bit number, which is converted from the previous to the current RGB data. The data comparator compares the bit number from the data counter with the reference bit number from the memory. When the bit number from the data counter is greater than the reference bit number, the data comparator outputs a high level signal. The data converter converts the previous RGB data according to the polarity of the output from the data comparator and outputs the result.
