Assembly of the barrel is performed with the use of two interchangeable sections, after every shot the diameters of the duct of the first section are measured at its inlet and outlet, the magnitude of their relation is calculated, and subsequent shots are made until thus magnitude attains the critical magnitude of the bore wear. After this magnitude is attained the first and second sections are exchanged, and the shots are continued. ^ EFFECT: enhanced service life of the ballistic unit barrel. ^ 4 dwg
