A reproducing apparatus and a volume controlling method of the reproducing apparatus are provided to prevent a user from controlling reproduction volumes of audio files individually even though different volume levels are set for the audio files. A reproducing apparatus(100) comprises a memory(110) and a controller(120). The memory(110) stores at least one audio file and volume level information for controlling a reproduction volume level of the audio file. The controller(120) controls and outputs a reproduction volume of the audio file according to the volume level information which is recorded correspondingly to the audio file when the audio file stored in the memory is reproduced.
