A display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase the view angle and to also reduce the number of processes and the process cost. A substrate is divided into a display area(DA) having a transmission area and a reflection area and a peripheral area(PA) surrounding the display area. Gate and data lines are crossed with each other horizontally and vertically and define pixel areas at the display area. A gate electrode is branched from the gate line at the pixel area and a common electrode is separately formed from the gate line. A source electrode(151) is branched from the data line on the gate electrode. A drain electrode(152) is separately formed from the source electrode. A reflection electrode(160) is extended from the drain electrode, formed at the pixel area and has one or more openings for defining the transmission area and the reflection area. A common line is formed on the common electrode and supplies the common voltage to the common electrode.
