PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus by which both a radial tomographic image and a linear tomographic image are displayed larger and the whole linear tomographic image can be diagnosed. SOLUTION: Acoustic ray data are selectively read out by a CPU 11 and an image in a display area is reconstructed and displayed and a slide bar 85 is displayed on a screen by overlapping image data by the CPU 11. Accordingly scales of the radial tomographic image and the linear tomographic image agree with each other on the display screen and both tomographic images can be displayed larger and the whole images can be displayed.
