PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for generating a database, which achieves an image database allowing an image retrieval result to be easily used in a form of label, and the image database. SOLUTION: Data having similar feature data is retrieved by retrieval key data having a retrieval key and feature data characterizing the retrieval key, and the retrieval key is added as a label to data having similar feature data.
