PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-fibrosis agent inhibiting morbid fibrosis such as lung fibrosis, sclerema and nephrosclerosis. SOLUTION: This anti-fibrosis agent containing a CD40-CD154 signal inhibitor such as an anti-CD154 antibody, an anti-CD40 antibody, a soluble CD40 or the like for blocking the interaction of the CD40 with CD154 (CD40L) with each other on the surface of cells, as an active ingredient is administered. As the anti-CD154 antibody and anti-CD40 antibody, a monoclonal antibody, polyclonal antibody, single-stranded antibody, humanized antibody, chimeric antibody, bifunctional antibody capable of simultaneously recognizing 2 epitopes, etc., can be exemplified.
