PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel for fishing equipped with a brake force regulator designed to maintain a stable line winding state without being restricted by the material, dimensions, etc., and apply spool brake force according to the line winding diameter. SOLUTION: The reel for fishing is equipped with a spool 3 having flange parts 3b and 3c freely rotatably supported with a supporting shaft 12 of a reel body 1 and regulating a fishing line to be wound and the brake force regulating part 20 provided in the spool 3 for regulating the brake force acting on the spool during delivering of the fishing line according to the winding diameter of the fishing line. The brake force regulating part 20 is provided with protruding parts 21a protruding from the flange part 3c in the radial direction and further equipped with a pressure detecting member 21 pressed in the axial direction with the fishing line to be wound and a brake member 23 for applying the brake force to the spool 3 with the pressure detecting member 21.
