PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armrest device capable of adjusting height continuously with light force just by the operation of an arm alone. SOLUTION: When the arm is in an angle adjustable range, a coil spring is tightened so as to make turning impossible by the downward turning of the arm, and it is loosened so as to allow free turning and make continuous height adjustment possible by upward turning. When exceeding the angle adjustable range, the coil spring is held in a fixed loosened state to make upward turning and downward turning possible.
