The battery (1) has a rotating unit for homogenizing an electrolyte (6) formed within the battery. A recombiner (8) is provided for recombining hydrogen and oxygen to water. The recombiner has a recombining unit (9) comprising a catalyser and a central degassing unit. The central degassing unit is formed by a flow channel which connects the individual cells of the battery with one another.
