An outdoor unit for an air conditioner is provided to prevent damage of a connection part of an accumulator by fixing the accumulator on a barrier or a heat exchanger. An outdoor unit for an air conditioner comprises a base fan(110), a barrier(120), a heat exchanger(130), a blowing fan(140), a pair of compressors(150,150'), an accumulator(160), and a pair of fixing units(200). The base fan is installed on a lower part of the outdoor unit, supports a plurality of components installed on an upside of the outdoor unit, and forms an external appearance of the outdoor unit. The barrier is vertically installed on an upper part of the base fan and divides the outdoor unit into two parts which are a left side and a right side. The heat exchanger is installed on the left side of the barrier and exchanges heat of coolant with air. The blowing fan is installed in front of the heat exchanger in the left side of the barrier and forces the air to flow. The pair of compressors is installed in the right side of the barrier and compresses the coolant to be in a high temperature and pressure. The accumulator is installed on an upper part of the compressors in the right side of the barrier, filters liquid coolant introducing into the compressors, and is fixed on the barrier by the fixing units.
