<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fuel consumption while ensuring the power performance of a vehicle in a motor drive vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A controller of a motor drive vehicle computes a first energy storage state and a second energy storage state smaller than the first storage state as values so as to discharge the power necessary for an acceleration request, respectively (S5, S6), when the acceleration request is not made and a power generation device is in operation, starts charging to an energy storage device if the energy storage state of an energy storage device is lower than the first storage state (S5, S7, S8), and when the acceleration request is not made and the generation device is stopped, starts the charging to the energy storage device if the energy storage state of the energy storage device is lower than the second storage state (S6, S7, S8). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
